How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7220429 / 4581EL2002L Roller Kit

Purchased a 2 piece roller kit. Also purchased a belt using the theory that once disassembled, it would be better to replace a functioning belt now rather than wait and disassemble again in the future. One mistake, should have purchased 4 rollers because, like the belt, it's better to replace the critical parts while the machine is apart. My brother Mike, the trained mechanic, helped me as well as the video supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com. I theorize the rollers went bad because one roller had seized on the axle causing another roller to get a flat spot on it. It was less expensive than a mechanic but ultimately cost a great meal for my bro as payment for his services! And it was more fun to work with him. Working by myself would have been difficult because I believe this is a two person project for the uninitiated. 

New drum support rollers and belt. 

I disassembled it after watching one of your videos for my model dryer on replacing the drum roller support. I then ordered to drum roller kits and follow the instructions in the video on how to replace them. The video was very easy to follow and I made the repairs with just one problem. The video showed removing and replacing each roller with two washers. The new drum roller kits came with only one washer per roller. I then had a chat with one of your representatives and they looked into it and informed me that only one washer was needed with the new replacement and that washer would be installed on the front side. Once I receive that information I was able to complete the new installation with no problem. 

I purchased 2 sets of drum support rollers and replaced the 2 front and 2 back rollers. Only 1 wheel was truly bad, but I replaced all 4. 

Replaced both rear drum support rollers. The parts were a perfect fit 

I ordered the replacement drum roller part. It came 2 days later and I replaced in about 30 minutes, cleaning out the vent in the dryer also. 

I replaced the front and rear drum seals. In addition, I replaced all four drum support rollers and the drive belt. 

I replaced rear roller drum wheels; one wheel did not turn anymore and over the years the drum wore a good size flat spot by shaving off the rubber surface. While I had everything apart, I decided to also replace the drum belt and clean all parts/surfaces inside. This repair took a little longer due to the stuck wheel. I am a woman 76 yrs. of age and the wheel took a bit longer to get it to come off. Drum easy to remove. 

Easy fix - just followed the video. 

Took the dryer apart to clean and diagnose the problem. Discovered it was a roller issue. Ordered parts on Friday afternoon and they were here Saturday afternoon. Excellent service from A.P.P. The dryer was up and running in one day, couldn’t ask for a better service from a parts supplier.
