How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5973402 / 6501KW2001B Rotor Position Sensor

After watching your YouTube video that diagnosed the cause and showed a step by step repair procedure I went to your website and easily ordered the part. I should note that in 2014 this same repair was done by a repairman and the cost was 234.00. The part I ordered was a rotor position sensor which cost 12.77. It took me less than an hour to install. Very Happy cause my problem was solved. 

Took about 15 min to repair. Took rear cover off then the rotor, stater then replaced the sensor, put it back together ran a test run. P.S I am 72 years old. 

I followed the repair video to the tee. It couldn't have been easier. 

Replaced the sensor.

It was a very simple job. I just watched the videos In the internet and it was very strate forward. It only took me 30 minutes to do the job and the washer machine is working like new.

Followed the YouTube video. Less than $30 later, back up and running. 

Replaced sensor assy. very easy to do. Took maybe 20 mins. Note, from previous work on washer, when replacing rotor assembly on the splined shaft have someone push drum toward the back of washer to avoid the drum shaft from being pushed out of bearings as you push the rotor assy. on. Once you have enough of the rotor assy. pushed on the spline shaft for the bolt to thread on then you can tighten the bolt and draw the rotor onto the shaft.
