How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5973402 / 6501KW2001B Rotor Position Sensor

I watched the video on ApplianceParts.com and read the blog. The blog included a part number to order. Before ordering the part, I tried to use the web sites's part verification feature by entering the washer model number. However, that feature didn't work, so I contacted live chat. That chat turned out to be useful because the part number I had was for a different machine, and I was directed to order a different part. Once I received the part, the very clear video made it easy to install. I also replaced the washer hoses 

Research on internet posts led me to try a hall switch on the back of washing machine. New switch arrived at my home in 1 Day! Amazing! Replaced hall switch (Sensor Assembly) in approximately 1/2 hour and washer is as good as new! 

Upon starting the machine, there was no error code, just the funny noise. As a stay-at-home mom, I KNOW what the machine sounds like when it operates normally. I watched it trying to spin the clothes in the opposite direction and it was struggling. I thought the load was too heavy? Not the case. I replaced the bearing by myself, thanks to Youtube and this site, so knew it wasn't that. (Yes I am not kidding, I replaced the bearings - took me 2 days but saved me hundreds of dollars!). This was making a different noise. After doing some research, found it to be the sensor. Replaced it in less than 15 minutes! It was a piece of cake vs. the bearing replacement. Once I figured it out, immediately knew to buy from appliance parts pros again! Shipped quickly and arrived in less than 3 days. Will buy from them again and again. 

I saw the video on AppliancePartsPros YouTube video, and was able to fix my washer by my self, which is pretty good for an academic. I saved over $200. Of course I bought the part I need from AppliancePartsPros, which was very easy to do, and it arrived less than two days later!

By replacing the sensor (part# 6501KW2001A). My washer is working and spinning again. Appliance Parts Pro's shipped the part in 2days through regular mail and a friend of mine took about one hour to replace the part. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for being so dependable!! 

I replaced the Hall Sensor assy. It took a metric socket set 3/8 in drive ratchet a phillips and flat tip screw driver. Break down about 10 minutes, re-build about 10 minutes. Washing machine fixed. Very easy repair for any do-it-yourself person with a bit of common sense. 

Went on you tube to find out what to do. Gave step by step instructions on what to order and how to replace the part. Very, very helpful video! Easy to do. Works good now! 

The u tube video was the key and invaluable. Sooo easy to follow step by step instructions and literally only needed a socket wrench and screwdriver. Sensor assembly snapped out and new one snapped in, And after multiple laundry loads now, (fingers crossed) washer is working again. Cancelled order for new washer too!! 

Watched one of your videos, ordered the part and fixed it. All in less than 15 min......Perfect!!
