How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7015078 / 6501KW2002B Washer Rotor Position Sensor Assembly

Ordered rotor position switch sensor as suggested by service manual and by this website. Replacement was relatively easy. Followed instructions by video provided for this part. 

Did the troubleshooting per the instructions provided by you and several other websites. Took the washer apart and made sure that I didn't uncover additional problems or need to perform any other replacements while I was in there. The unit is now 15 years old and so an economic repair would only be worth trying if under $100.00. (New unit is $500.00) The worst part of the entire repair was Fed-X misdelivered my part to a nice lady a few blocks away. She took it upon herself to deliver the part to my mailbox. I sent her a thank you note. Hopefully I can repay that forward to someone some day. It did take another person to hold the drum in place as you removed the large bolt from the magnet holder casing around the motor coils. Really cool learning experience! Thank you Appliance Parts Pro for helping us through this repair experience.

Ordered the motor sensor from this website and installed it by myself using their very helpful video. Washer runs fine and the wife is happy. Happy Wife Happy Life!

Researched it online, had to replace rotor sensor. 

After watching the video from AppliancePartsPros.com, we ordered the part. It came within two days of the order. Then we watched the video again as we followed the directions. It worked immediately after replacing the part and reassembling the machine. We were very satisfied.
