How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7015078 / 6501KW2002B Washer Rotor Position Sensor Assembly

Rotor position sensor is all I used. And after watching the video it only took 45 minutes.

After checking your site and reviewing comments for LE Error code and viewing your excellent "how to" video I ordered the Rotor Position Sensor Switch (Hall switch) and changed it out. Prior to ordering, I disassembled the machine to access the original switch and checked the wiring, removed and reset the switch and connectors and gave it another try - hoping a removal and reseating would fix the issue. It didn't so I sent in the order on Saturday. Parts were shipped on Monday and arrived FedEx the next day. Disassembly and repair took less than a half hour following which the washer worked fine again. I must say that doing the disassembly required to change out the tub bearings which I did a couple of years ago made this repair easy. For 24 bucks it was worth a try, even if it didn't work - but of course it did. Thanks, guys, for an excellent video that made the repair simple and easy. 

Ok so I started off with LE error code replaced the hall effects sensor powered back on and then got a TE error code. Let me start by saying I got this set used and was told it was a LE code but I think it was always a TE. With this sensor replaced I decided to just leave it in lol it was a pretty simple job just be careful not to break any plastic tabs getting the actual sensor off. Next the TE code which indicates the thermistor. I now pulled the front of the washer off which could be a little intimidating but with the amazing videos on this site it's a breeze. I messed with the thermistor for a bit and couldn't figure out the problem but turns out the wires were breaking off inside the plug from the machine to the thermistor. I ended up bypassing the plug and hard wiring the thermistor in and VIOLA this washer now works like a dream machine. Could have never done it with out the videos. Oh and the parts i received for both the washer and dryer, were shipped SUPER FAST and fit exactly. SO HAPPY with this company. 

Watched the video and ordered the part which arrived promptly. Repair took about 15 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver, a ratchet, and 2 sockets. Unplugged the machine, removed the back cover, removed the 17mm bolt from the rotor - then pulled off the rotor, removed 2 wire retaining screws and the ground wire, removed the 6 10mm bolts from the stator and laid the stator down, unplugged the rotor position switch and unclipped the switch from the stator. Snapped the new switch to the stator, plugged in the harness to the switch, and reassembled in reverse order.
