How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5657415 / MHY62044106 Flapper Door Spring

The spring on the refrigerator flapper door broke. Replacement took 10 minutes and the flapper door work properly again. East jib 

I watched the very useful video from the web sight and the repair took about 5 minutes. Shipment was very quick, ordering process was very easy. 

Remove the flapper from the main door. Put in a new spring and put the flapper back on the main door. 

I watched the video you supplied and fixed it with no problem. Appliance Parts Pros is a great company to do business with. 

I changed the flapper door spring. 

I watched a YouTube video and got the part number; ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros, who promptly shipped it. BTW, the customer service person was extremely helpful, courteous and informative. When the part arrived a few days, I installed it in 10 minutes and all is well!

I looked up on line and could not find the part I needed. So I called Appliance Parts Pros and talked to a very friendly lady who was very helpful. I told her the model of my refrigerator and she told me another manufacturer makes that spring. She looked it up and I ordered two of them. I received them in a very few days and installed one of them in about ten minutes, making my wife very happy. Thanks for being a wonderful company to do business with. 

I contacted AppliancePartsPros and the gentleman guided me through ordering the right spring. I ordered 2 as suggested, as the spring might break again. It is stored in the fridge so we won’t lose it. I watched 1 video on YouTube which was very explanatory. Had I not found the video the gent from AppliancePartsPros said to call them back and they would walk me through it. I removed 2 screws which connected the million to the door. Then popped off 3 caps. I gently lifted up the mullion and slid in the spring, and eased the million back into alignment. Then screwed it back in and replaced the 3 caps. It works good as new now. I will say that there is a little piece of plastic that had broken off near the spring when it initially broke. So, if that becomes a problem the whole mullion will need to be replaced, all for a tiny piece of plastic. But so far so good!
