Watched the video on You Tube, and followed the example. There were two options to get to the door switch. The first option was to take the top lid off to get to the switch. The second was to go through the front door and take the rubber gasket off to get to the switch. I chose to go through the door, because I have a stackable washer and dryer. It took 2 days to get the parts. I was able to put the switch in as soon as I received the part. I’ve never done it before, and it only took me a half an hour to install the switch. That’s the time it took to get the few tools I needed to finishing the job.
My wife had a repair man come to fix it. The company charged me $150 just to come and diagnose the problem. Then he told her it was the door switch, which I already knew. Then wanted to charge us. $150 for the part, plus labor. And wouldn’t guarantee that it would fix the problem.
I ordered the part myself and installed it. It only cost me $56 for the part, my time to watch the install video and replace the part,(1/2 an hr).
