Gerald B Holtsville , NY September 26, 2016 Clock wasn't displaying all bars All I had to do was take the upper back panel off the oven and pull the wires from the old chip and transfer to the new chip. I took pictures before taking the chip out and removing the wires (which I highly recommend) Read More... 19 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Charles M Port Charlotte , FL July 22, 2014 My oven was not heating up I had bought a new stove Samsung it was a little over a year old, after contacting Samsung they where no use and not going to help out on repairing the stove. I was looking online to see if i could find out what the problem was. I have had no experience in taking apart appliances, working or fixing them. I stumbled upon appliance parts pro one night and did a chat and they walked my through a series of steps of what to check with a multimeter took about 10 min only required a Philips screw driver and a multimeter. They contacted Samsung and found out what part was bad. Two days later i got an email saying the main control board was bad, i was hesitant about trying to change it but i ordered it it was like $70.00 got the part two days later and i swear it only took like 7 or 8 min to change and it only took a one screw driver. I would highly recommend any one to tackle a repair if you have hand tools and are not scared of trying new things. My stove works great and i will be contacting appliance parts pro next time i need a repair. James K Vermillion , SD January 22, 2017 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG FE-R300SW/XAA Oven would reach desired temperature then not maintain that temperature First check was the resistance of the temp sensor. This is simple--pull the rear panel, disconnect the connector and use an ohm meter on the two leads. Once I saw this was good, I ordered the PCB. Received the PCB a couple days later and replaced it. Simple replacement; took maybe 15 minutes with nothing more than a Phillips-head screwdriver. Works like new. Justin A Cape Girardeau , MO November 26, 2016 Oven would not heat up After checking the electrical connections (main, heating element, and temperature probe), with an ammeter and the help of a YouTube video of course, the only other possible failure point was the control board. I found it on Appliance Parts Pros and ordered it. The price was great and other customers were very complimentary of their fast shipping speed. Sure enough, the part arrived 2 days later, just as promised. It took about 10 minutes to remove the old control board and install the new one. Very easy - just unplug the connections on the old board and plug them back into the same (easy to identify/remember) spots on the new board. I'd recommend taking a photo of the old board before you disconnect the plugs, just in case. Only a Phillips screwdriver was required. I plugged the oven back in....and.....it works! Chris O Port Orange , FL July 19, 2016 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG FR-R300SX Control board (error code e 28) We had a lightning strike on the house and it damaged our Samsung Stove. I initially ordered a new thermistor to replace the one that referenced the error code. It did not fix the problem. After more research it was determined that the control board needed replacement as well. I ordered replacement board from Appliance Pros and it was delivered a day and a half later!! These guys rock! The whole job took less than 10 min. We now have a functioning stove again.
