How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577073 / DA66-00558B Refrigerator Upper Hinge Cam Riser

We ordered our parts, based on other stories posted on the website. We received them in a timely fashion and set out this morning to attempt to fix it. I would say total time was about 30 minutes, carefully following the instruction manual for our fridge. We did not run into any problems. Very smooth process and glad to have saved the price of an expensive service call!!

Took the door off, replaced the part and we were good to go. Had to disconnect the water lines to remove the door though. Used a phillips head screw driver and a 10mm socket wrench. 

I replaced the bottom hinge and stopper. 

The bottom cam risers were both broken and almost completely absent. After watching the repair video on YouTube, I was able to see that the broken risers were the issue. The small plastic pieces were sent in two separate packages and received a day apart. A little odd to me, but got them under a week. Once I had both, the repair was pretty easy. It took longer to unload all of the food than to make the fix. Now just curious how much money you saved me! 

Called and got the parts. Repair was pretty simple, the repair guy wanted hundreds but this was easy. 

Watched the repair video. 

Read what others said, did not go exactly that way, but was close enough. You need two screwdrivers to remove. One on each side, to release the tabs. 

Replaced the bottom door swivel assembly and it took care of the problem.
