1 Answer Karen, There is no video to replace this upper hinge cam riser but to do so you will first need to remove the door hinge cover at the top of the unit. Remove the upper hinge and lift the door off the unit. If this is for the freezer side you would need to disconnect the water line at the top of the door before removing. Vic August 22, 2017 for Model Number RS265TDBP/XAA SAMSUNG The water lines (white and orange) are broken at the hinge portion of the freezer. There is only about 1/4 inch of the lines protruding through the hinge. Can this be repaired? Thank you-

Sb July 10, 2017 for Model Number RSG257AAWP/XAA Need to replace broken Cam hinge riser on left freezer door. Looked at your YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUMMZ-ySMQM that says replace both risers top and bottom. From the video it looks like both cam risers are the same. However, upper left model number is DA66-000558B. Lower left cam riser looks exactly the same. Should it be DA66-00560B - correct? if not, what should it be? I only need the lower left cam hinge-riser, not the assembly.

1963Christopher January 20, 2017 for Model Number Samsung refrigerator model RSG257 side by side For roughly 10 days there was an audible 'click' sound emanating from the freezer door bottom hinge when closing the door, and you could feel it catching on something. Got down on hands and knees but could see anything - door still had full range of motion. Now the freezer door will only open roughly halfway before, stopping a t just about the door arc where the audible click was heard before. Could maybe open it further but don't want to damage whatever is broken any further. Could probably pull door myself, but don't know what could be broken .. A cam ?

Arnie September 06, 2016 for Model Number Samsung Refrigerator RSG257AAWP/XAA I recently ordered the cam hitch riser for my samsung freezer door. Looking at the parts list, only teh lower cam is listed and put on the diagram. It does not show the upper cam riser. When I look at the door diagram, the upper cam is listed. I put the lower cam on and my door still does not stay closed. I ordered the upper riser for the fridge door hoping that it is the correct part for the freezer door. My suspicion is that both diagrams need to show an upper and a lower cam hinge. Am i correct.

Philip To June 26, 2016 for Model Number RSG307AARS/XAA-0001 I need to remove the freezer door to replace the broken hinge. To remove the door, I need to disconnect the water supply. There are two couplers hidden in a clip. Worse than that, the refrigerator bottom is too close to the floor to work with. I need to instruction to remove the water supply couplers. Thank you.

Cynthia October 20, 2015 for Model Number RSG257/AARS I have the same issue as mentioned above. The answer as to how to remove the freezer door is helpful. However, since I do not want to take off the freezer door until I have the part(s), I would like to know which part(s) I need to order. Based on the freezer door diagram, I am wondering if I need both part 5 and 6? All I know is that it is a plastic part which broke (since I found a small black plastic piece on the floor). Thank you.
1 Answer Cynthia, With a black piece that has broken at the bottom of the freezer door, there are 2 possibilities, the first would be the upper riser cam DA66-00558B and the lower hinge assembly DA97-06158A. The lower cam comes as part of the lower hinge assembly and one of these 2 would be what is needed. It would not be bad to change both as one can be damaged by the other. Read More...
