How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4446159 / DA61-05435A Refrigerator Ice Maker Shut Off Arm

Bought a replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Because I was able to purchase the aftermarket lever & watch the video from AppliancePartsPros, I had full confidence that new how to get to that one screw to replace the broken ice lever arm. Funny how I quit waiting & decided to watch a video to see how it repair could be done, I was surprised by how easy the repair actually was. Thanks guys! 

Replaced the Shut Off Arm. 

Ordered a new arm and watched videos on how to remove old and install new. It was really easy!!! So happy that I did not need to bring in an expensive appliance doctor!!! 

Unscrewed the old broken part off, screwed the new part on. 

Ordered the part and easily installed it, by removing the screw off the broken arm and replacing it with a new one. 10 min installation 

I unscrewed the broken arm and then installed the one sent to me by AppliancePartsPros.com. I suggest anyone doing this repair use an off-set Phillips screwdriver as there is very little room between the screw and the wall of the freezer. 

Emptied the top freezer draw, removed the top drawer, removed the one screw and broken part. Installed new arm and screwed it back on. Haveing two left hands would have made this repair very easy. 

I fixed it using a Phillips screwdriver. I replaced the shut-off arm. 

I found the part number on the part. I ordered 2 pieces so I am ready should this happen again. The video was a big help because I wasn't sure where the part was located. Just one screw holds the arm in place.
