How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4206409 / DC66-00326A Washer Door Latch Assembly

Installed new latch 

I installed the part that I received quickly from Appliance Parts Pros. I removed part of the rubber seal and the 3 screws holding the door locking system in. I unplugged it and attached the new system. I put everything back in place and everything is working fine. It took about 15 minutes. 

Put new switch in 

I bought the complete door latch assembly from appliancepartspros.com and along with their online tutorial I was able to fix the issue myself quite easily! 

Received the parts in two days and had my washer repaired in about 15 minutes! Easy repair. Good quality parts. 

I ordered the replacement part for $30+ and a new door locking device for $10 and the repair was quick and easy. The most difficult fix was to re- install the holding ring around the gasket. Total time on the total fix was about 15 minutes and the 14 year old machine works just like new. 

I purchased the door switch assembly and door lock bezel and watched the repair video available on the Appliance Parts Pros website. The video was very helpful. Replacing the switch assembly and bezel took less than 15 minutes. The parts were a perfect fit. 

Searched on Google and found out that I just need to replace the door switch. Ordered it online at AppliancePartsPros.com and it arrived only a few days later. Followed the instructions on a YouTube clip also from Appliancepartspros to fix it. Thanks Appliancepartspros.com. 

First, order all of your parts from appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the rear main seal. Also ordered new seals and drain pump because I knew the case was gonna be fully opened. Rear main seal is behind the stainless tub so the whole machine has to be opened up and the tub has to be removed. Then slit the plastic tub and pull stainless tub out. Pry out rear main seal and replace. Then assemble unit back. There are some good videos out there. Took me about an hour from start to finish. 

With a new locking mechanism and a short video with step by step instructions!
