How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4979323 / DA32-10104N Refrigerator Temperature Sensor

Replaced heater sheath and sensors. 

Replaced bad parts. 

The 2 parts above were installed after it was emptied and defrosted again. 

Replace the sensor with the one bought here. 

Changed out defrost thermostat and temperature sensors 

We replaced 2 sensors and it worked! Thank goodness we didn't have to buy a new fridge. We spent $40 instead of $1,000!! 

Only need a screwdriver took me 20 minutes 

Change temp sensor 

I removed the rear panel to determine the issue and found ice had accumulated around the fan resulting in the fan blades hitting the ice jam and creating the noise. The fridge was going through defrost but not consistently to melt all the ice. I replaced both the defrost thermostat and temp sensor to fix the issue, so far so good.
