How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009896 / WP6-918873 Silverware Basket Assembly

Replaced my silverware basket 

Ordered new parts 

Bottom fell out of old unit. No choice but to replace it.. This one works 0k but I like the old style better. Was a lot easier to load.

Replaced utensils basket. 

Found a replacement part on this website. It was sent quickly and was the proper size. I was concerned about the size since no dimensions were given in the description.
