How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009896 / WP6-918873 Silverware Basket Assembly

Called and ordered new basket and it arrived the following day....amazing!

Ordered new basket. First one was not right one, probably my fault. Called your help number and got a very pleasant lady who told me how to return the basket and then helped me order the proper basket. Have received the new basket and it was perfect. Until I get my credit card bill I will not know if you voided the cost of the first basket. Given what has occurred to date I have every confidence the money will be returned to me. 

Replaced baskets 

Had a appliance repair man come twice with the wrong part.Then he ghosted me. I decided to look up the part and order it myself. Shipping email came with a repair video. I got the part and put it in while my car was warming up. 5 minutes tops. Can't believe I went without for 4 months waiting on the repair man 

I ordered the new part and when it came, I took the inside of the door off and there was the door latch, I removed the old latch and put in the new one. Keep in mind this latch/switch does have power going to it, so be careful when disconnecting the (2) plug in wires, so I plugged in the new latch. I put the panel back on with all the screws and it was go time again, repair complete...I forgot to mention a new silverware basket, it was a drop in, need I say more???
