How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011740 / WP8181850 Front Bellow Tub Seal

Saw your video and followed it. 

The computer was easy to replace. Just took off top of washer (3 screws on back of washer), took picture of the front and side wire connections, removed old computer and replaced it, plugging in the old wire harness. I used a you tube video. I have not replaced the boot yet, but will use the video on your website. 

Seeing the video helped tremendously. Without it could not have installed the bellow . 

Replaced it with a new boot 

Upon initial inspection, I discovered holes in the rubber thing near the front opening. I then did an online search for my make & model & the first one up was Appliance Parts Pros. I clicked on that & quickly found the part along w/ an informative & entertaining video. I appreciated the effort they had put forth to produce that film & decided to look no further & purchase the parts right there & then. It showed up in two days. W/ out the video I wouldn't have known where to start. I watched it one more time & then attacked the project. It was fun & easy. I'd say about as difficult as changing a tire on a bicycle. 

Watched the repair video and did it from there. 

Followed video to remove/replace the door seal ("bellow tub seal"). As per video, needed a T-20 "screwdriver" for most of the work, and a flat head screwdriver to remove the old inner clamp - kinda like a clamp on a car's radiator hoses. Also needed a pair of pliers to pull on the outer clamp - again, as per the video. Only problem I had was that I pulled to hard and stretched the spring on the outer clamp - not enough that I needed to reorder, but it did stretch. Best feeling when I put it back together and it didn't leak when we ran the first load. 

I watch a youtube video. 

I Googled a a YouTube video and fixed it in 30 minutes. 

Replaced it with a new one. I'd suggest talking to the AppliancePartsPros.com before ordering to get the right part. I didn't do that the first time and had to reorder. Repair was easy watching the video. It doesn't leak any more!
