How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005965 / WP2180226 Control Bracket

Replaced the bracket that holds the micro-switch in place. 

I replaced the bracket that holds the micro switch for both the water and ice dispensers. I had watched the video from Appliance Parts Pros and it made the job easy. 

After looking at past post I decided to watch the repair video that showed how to replace the bracket loacated in the door panel. After taking it apart I discovered that a pin was broken on the bracket just like others had posted so I ordered a new bracket and had the I've despenser working in about 10 mins. 

The bracket holding the water switch was broken I bought the part from you guys replaced it and now it works perfectly

Watching your YouTube connection gave me step by step instructions on taking apart and replacing the needed part. I took it apart first to confirm broken bracket, then ordered. Fast shipment was only a couple of days. Replaced bracket and put back together in 10 minutes. Works like new! Thankyou. 

It took about 15 minutes to open the area and take out the old bracket and install the new bracket. 

Replaced the broken parts as per the video. 

Replaced PVC bracket. Bracket pins and tabs that hold ice/water dispenser switches in place were broken. Easy fix. Only tool needed was putty knife or flathead screwdriver to remove dispenser cover.
