How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005965 / WP2180226 Refrigerator Dispenser Control Bracket

Watching the repair video step by step,was extremely helpful 

Replaced Evaporator motor after watching the video. The new motor had the connectors on back side, but was still easy to hook up. Also replaced the Dispenser Control bracket after watching the video. Both jobs were very easy. So Quiet, I had to open the freezer to hear if the fan was running. Awesome!! 

Bought the part from you guys and watched the video. repair was quick and simple. 

Bought switch box with new located pins 

I checked out several videos on the internet, and ordered the parts. On this particular model the water line must feed down from the dispenser to the opening at the base of the door. You will need to center the line using a small screw driver and manipulate the line through the opening. Also take care when removing the dispenser face plate. Use a putty knife or similar tool and pop up on the bottom edge of the faceplate to release the 2 small tabs. 

I thought the micro switch for the ice side was bad. After taking off the cover I found the micro switch was working but the small plastic pins on the bracket were broken and the switch would get get contact with the lever. I ordered a replacement bracket and the fix was easy and everything worked great 

Replaced control bracket it`s back to brand new thankx guys 

Replaced broken control bracket and broken ice dispenser guide. Easy fix after watching AppliancePartsPros video and ordering parts from them. 

Replaced it 

I was going to fabricate another pin, but noticed control bracket was designed to be replaced without disassembly. so I just ordered it. the part number didn't match, but it looked close. 10 minutes to install.
