How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005965 / WP2180226 Control Bracket

A repairman told us it wasn't worth it to repair our old refrigerator and we should just buy a new one. This inexpensive part and about 15 minutes work fixed the problem.

Ordered this bracket and it was an easy fix thanks to the AppliancePartsPros.com video. It took about 15 minutes. I have a Whirlpool fridge. 

Replace the dispensing module bracket. 

After looking at the layout of the system I saw that I found a broken part that provided the dispenser the spring that was needed to make it work again. I also decided to replace a recommended part just in case the first part wasn't the only issue. Both parts were easily replaced of course with the right tools to allow the fix. I'm so very impressed with this site. AppliancePartsPros.com are the best.

I replaced the broken control bracket. 

Ordered a new bracket for switches.
