How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005965 / WP2180226 Control Bracket

Replaced the water filter housing as one of the pins that opens when the filter is installed was dislodged not allowing water to flow and the bracket that holds the ice and water dispenser micro switches was broken which would not allow the switches to be activated. 

Ordered and replaced with the needed parts. The front door panel bracket was replaced due to finding the micro switch mounting pins broken and the chute door replaced to provide a better seal to the ice bin. 

After entering the model number of my refrigerator I was able to find the parts to replace the broken ice door. I watched the video on repairing the door. I then ordered the repair parts. They arrived in a timely manner. By watching the video I was able to disassemble the broken door. Upon closer inspection I found more damage that needed replaced. I then ordered the other 2 items, when they arrived I followed all the videos and the parts were replaced and all is well. 

Gas insurance won't fix dispensing mechanism. Went to Youtube and watched video. Googled appliance parts, you looked reputable and took paypal. Ordered parts, repair took about 10 minutes. Thank you 

With your websites HELP! It was a pleasure to see that there are all types of videos to help you understand how to remove pieces and trouble shoot what the issues were. In the past I would attempt to remove pieces not really understanding all the in's and out's. What would happen is typically i would break other pieces in the process. NOW with your website and helpful videos I was able to take apart the pieces (NOT BREAKING THEM IN PROCESS) and only buy the pieces that were needed with out the additional ones that I would damage in the process previously. The website, videos, ease of ordering is the best thing in the world. It made it that much easier to get the water flowing and ice dropping and now the whole family is happy again! 

I thought it was the control buttons on the front of the refrigerator so ordered the front panel which houses the controls fo ice and water. As it turned out tow pins that hold the micro switch in place were broken and the switch had moved out of it's position. A new panel that is behind the front panel solved the problem. Received much appreciated help from Chris at Appliance Pro. 

Like most people I was reluctant to order the part I needed from the Internet. I have to admit that after keying in my model number, you provided such a simple informative video on how to repair my refrigerator I couldn't resist ordering the part from you. The price was such a bargain I also ordered a water filter. Now I understand that this may not always be the case, but you told me it would take about two days to receive it.....and that is exactly how long it took!!!! (Very happy about that). Would absolutely use your company again in the future. Even informed my brothers. Thanks again!!!! 

I thought the micro switch for the ice side was bad. After taking off the cover I found the micro switch was working but the small plastic pins on the bracket were broken and the switch would get get contact with the lever. I ordered a replacement bracket and the fix was easy and everything worked great 

Replaced control bracket it`s back to brand new thankx guys
