Richard S Mountlake Terrace , WA November 09, 2021 Appliance: Model CALORIC EST037? The bake element burned out. This is one of the easiest repairs on our Caloric electric rang. I lifted the oven door off ( simply open to first stop and lift) and pulled out both racks. The elements are held in place with two Phillips screws and slide out after removing the screws. I , like others, used needle nosed pliers to remove the connectors , slid new elements iin, made the connections and screwed them in place. The whole job took about 10 minutes. I put the racks back in place, slid the door back in place and turned the oven to bake as a test. My wife said it hadn't heated as quick in a couple of years so the elemnet had probably bee going bad for a while. Got an apple pie out of it! Read More...
