How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012104 / WP8206635 Electronic Control Board

I ordered the Electronic Control Panel (p/n: AP6012104). Once I figured out how to remove the door and remove the panel I replaced the ECP with a very simple wire harness connection. All the screws I had to remove used the same torx driver so that was the only tool I had to use. I recommend also purchasing the Door Screw (p/n AP4299718) because it can break very easily when removing or re-installing (TRUST ME!) and will delay your repair. FYI - The first ECP I was sent was defective - it didn't function when I plugged it in. AppliancePartsPros customer service immediately shipped me a replacement and I didn't have to return the first one - no questions asked - no extra shipping charge. I will do business here again.
