How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3873993 / 8201799 Compressor Start Device Kit

Placed a call to my local repair tech and was informed he no longer repaired refrigerators. I explained the symptoms and he informed me about compressor relays failing.Ordered the Compressor Start Device kit that included the relay, two versions of the compressor overload, wire jumper and cover. Although I could not get the cover to fit I was able to match the part number of the overload to use the correct one (they look the same). Success! Refrigerator & freezer are running flawlessly and cooling down to temp. 

I search on line and found a blog on from your page with a customer that had the same issue. You recommended the compressor Start device Kit. After checking your appliance compatibility tool on line I decided to order the part that wasn't that expensive and try it. The package came within 3-4 days. Followed the video and instruction and the fridge was up and running in 15 minutes. Great advice, installation video and service. Cancelled buying a new fridge :) Thanks Appliance Parts Pros.

Using the Compressor Start Device Kit, and watching the video supplied by appliance Parts Pro, I was able to easily repair my refrigerator!
