Placed a call to my local repair tech and was informed he no longer repaired refrigerators. I explained the symptoms and he informed me about compressor relays failing.Ordered the Compressor Start Device kit that included the relay, two versions of the compressor overload, wire jumper and cover. Although I could not get the cover to fit I was able to match the part number of the overload to use the correct one (they look the same).
Success! Refrigerator & freezer are running flawlessly and cooling down to temp.
