How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023299 / WPW10594329 Damper Control Assembly

I isolated the noise to the top rear of the refrigerator. Upon further inspection, I removed the damper control valve cover and saw the damper was constantly opening and closing. The fan was on, circulating cold air from the freezer, so I ordered a new damper control valve. I received the part the following day and installed it. Simple fix. Worked perfectly. 

Replaced control in about 10 minutes and more no noise! 

It took about 10 minutes to change this out. We did google how to just to be sure but it was quite evident what needed to happen. The part arrived in just a few days so everything was very seamless! Thanks

Replaced the damper and control with a new one from AppliancePartsPros. Saved $175 compared to a previous service visit. Easy job! 

Replaced damper control motor. Easy fix. 

The hardest part was identifying what the suspect part was called. After that, watched the video available on the part order page (very helpful!). Appeared to be a fix I could do, so ordered the part. It came, and I installed it in less than 5 minutes without even reviewing the original video!
