I watched the repair video and attempted to pry up my stove top - but my stove top is different. My sealed burners had to be removed with a screw from the top. Unfortunately my phillips screw had a rusted/worn head and had to be removed with vise grips. I crimped the electrical connector enough to make it tight. I got a new screw and made some soup. Greg R Longview , TX January 09, 2015 Appliance: Amana Gas Cooktop AKS30WW Igniter sparked but burner would not light igniter ceramic was chipped I already had the old igniter removed, so I installed the new igniter into the flame spreader ring, locked it in place with the lock washer, and plugged it in the the control wire.
