How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019197 / WPW10308477 Oven Bake Element

I went on line and was able to find Appliance Pro with ease, I entered my model # and what I was wanting. There was a detailed selection of parts for my stove. I just selected the part and paid. two days later I had my part it was so simple. No driving and talking to uneducated low pay employees of big box home stores. 

Replaced it with new bake element 

Because of working with, door attached, we had to remove the back because the connector wire was to short on one side for top coil. Once that was done replacement installed and we are operating better than it has in six months. 

Easy and fast shipping for someone not handy at all 

Unplug the stove took the two bolts out took off the two electric connectors .Trashed the old coil put every together & it worked. 

Installed new lower heating element. 4 screws, but I could have done it with just two. You can remove the old element from inside with just the 2 mounting screws, but I went in the back so I would not have to pull the wiring through the insulation. Straight forward repair. It took longer to clean the area behind the oven of accumulated junk than to replace the heating element. Fast delivery of the part from Appliancepartspro.com . Will use them again in the future. 

Was very simple. Replacement part arrived quickly and I literally unscrewed the old one and replaced it with the new one in minutes. 

Removed and discarded the old bake element. Simple job. TURN OFF POWER FIRST by switching circuit breakers (two 50-amp), then simply unscrewed back plate (two phillips screws), pulled out bake element into oven, disconnected two wires and contacts in rear of oven, then removed and discarded bake element. I pulled the two wire leads further into the oven so as not to lose them into the insulation behind the oven rear wall. When new bake element arrived (in far less time than I had thought would the case), I quickly installed the new one, remembering once again to TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS). Installation took less than 5 minutes. Easy! Power back on, oven works like a champ again. Thank you, ApplianceParts Pros for your prompt response with the correct part.

I inspected the bake element and found a damage on its surface. It was good evidence, that the problem is inside the bake element, not in the regulator. It was easy to find a new bake element at Appliance Parts Pros's web site and place an order. It came in time and it took about 15 minutes to replace the broken element. The key point here was that screws due to long stand in high temperature were stocked and a screwdriver was not able to turn it. I hit them pretty hard by a hammer a couple of times and then a screwdriver was able to go.
