Removed and discarded the old bake element. Simple job. TURN OFF POWER FIRST by switching circuit breakers (two 50-amp), then simply unscrewed back plate (two phillips screws), pulled out bake element into oven, disconnected two wires and contacts in rear of oven, then removed and discarded bake element. I pulled the two wire leads further into the oven so as not to lose them into the insulation behind the oven rear wall.
When new bake element arrived (in far less time than I had thought would the case), I quickly installed the new one, remembering once again to TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS). Installation took less than 5 minutes. Easy! Power back on, oven works like a champ again.
