How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010824 / WP74003019 Oven Bake Element

I was all set to replace the part myself -- I'd ordered the part (and received it), and I'd watched the repair video (which is very good) several times to make sure I didn't miss anything. (I'm not the most adept individual with these things.) Just I was ready to do the repair, in walks my son (who hasn't lived at home for many years) and he informs me that he will doing to work instead. It took him all of 15 minutes (most of the delay was because 1 of my 5 cats kept bugging him to pet her!), and then it was done. I was so glad to have a working oven again -- I was really getting tired of nuking everything in the microwave!! 

Received element one day after I ordered it. It took about five minutes to replace element to install lt. Works great. 

I ordered the parts. And had my appliance repair man fix it. I get my parts faster with AppliancePartPros than the repairman can through his parts supplier. 

I replaced it in twenty minutes. It took ten minutes to find the right circuit breaker switch. There were no labels. I'm just now thinking ; why didn't I match up the switches while looking for the oven switch? Oh well. Replaced the element with a phillips head screwdriver in ten minutes. New element works great. 

I followed the included directions and the repairs went without any issues.

The video gave me confidence to do this repair myself (along with my sister-in-law). The heating element was delivered in 36 hrs even though I ordered it on Martin Luther King day. It took us 10 minutes to make the repair, 8 of which were consumed just getting up the courage to pull really hard on the connectors to separate them from the heating element. The oven is 19 years old, so those connectors were attached very well! Thanks for a great product and good instructions. 

Ordered part, received next day, (couldn't believe it came that fast) installed in 5 minutes after watching video. Thanks for instructional video and for super fast service with order. I will order again and recommend to others who need appliance parts/repair. Thanks. 

Replaced element 

Easily found the replacement part on this site and ordered it right way. Arrived in a matter of days. Watched a video on how to swap out the parts and did the job in a matter of minutes.
