How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011444 / WP77001094 Oven Bake Element

I located the part on the website. Had it the next day!! My hubby popped it in and our oven is back in business! Thank you for being so quick.

Ordered a new element from AppliancePartsPros.com. Simply shut off the breaker, pulled the wires through the oven firewall a few inches(inside the oven-pull towards you),pulled the connectors off of the heating element, then connected the new heating element with the same wires. Turned breaker back on and our oven works great! Could not be happier with the part availability and very fast shipping. My oven was only down and out for 3 days. OUTSTANDING service and way cheaper than hiring a service guy. 

Purchased a new bake element and installed. Unfortunately one of the screws stuck and stripped requiring a trip to the hardware store to get a screw extractor.

Ordering the part was easy once I had the model number of the stove. The part arrived 48 hours after I ordered it and installation took 5 minutes. 

I got out the manual and looked up the model number on the Amana website. I found the part that needed to be replaced and found that the were discontinued. I found Appliance Parts Pros. com and was able to cross-reference the number to a Whirlpool part number. That was on Sunday and I placed my order. On Tuesday morning the FedEx truck delivered the part, my husband installed it and my oven has worked like new ever since.
