Tom B Vienna , VA August 10, 2014 Appliance: Amana Self Cleaning Slide-In Downdraft Gas Range ARTS6651E Bake element stopped working Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall. I slide the element forward until the two ends of the element came out of the back wall, exposing the electrical connectors. Next I removed the wire connectors from the element using a pair of pliers for better grip. TIP: If the connectors are hard to remove, rest a large flat head screw against the end of the connector. Then squeeze a pair of pliers onto the end of the element, right up against the screw driver blade tip. Turn the screw driver, which will use the pliers for leverage, and will force the connector off of the element. Once the connectors are disconnected I removed the element. I tested the element for continuity using a multi-meter. No readings were detected which meant the element was bad. I found AppliancePartsPros.com after a quick internet search and their site was very easy to navigate and purchase a new element. Their shipping was very fast, I received the new part in two days. When the part arrived, I simple reassembled everything the same way I took it apart. I was careful not to handle the new element with my bare hands, to avoid transferring any skin oils onto the element. Oven works fine again. The beauty of it all was I saved down time not having to wait for a repairman and I saved money not having to pay for his labor fees. Kelsey D Willow Grove , PA October 13, 2015 The element burned out First, I'd like to say I don't think enough people take the time to let everyone know how great their experiences are compared to negative ones they have! With that said AppliancePartsPros.com has been hands down one of the BEST shopping experiences I've ever had in any retail environment. I work for the largest online retailer and even they couldn't compete with the quality of service i received. I thought my oven was ruined when it caught on fire and that i had to replace the whole thing. When looking for a new oven i came across elements for sale which was what caught on fire so i started to investigate that and how to replace them which lead me to AppliancePartsPros.com. I'm not very handy at all but after talking to the online tech he walked me through on how to find the model number for the part i needed. He even provided me with the link to order the exact part i needed. Once my order was placed which was also cheaper (even with shipping) than even going to Home Depot or Lowe's. I got an email confirming my order and a tracking number. I had an issue with my tracking number not showing any information after i emailed the customer service department with in a half an hour Amber replied to my email and informed me of the processing time and that the tracking number will be active soon. With that being said my order arrived 2 days later as scheduled even on a Saturday which i was not expecting thinking it was 2 business days. Although i hope nothing else in my house breaks if it does and i can fix it These guys will definitely be my first stop! Lois F Windham , NH March 31, 2017 Appliance: Model AMANA ARR6400WW The element in our oven had burned out. We ordered a new oven element from AppliancePartsPros for our electric range. It arrived so fast!! I had watched a video on their website which gave me confidence about repairing the stove (I had done this with a previous stove, but many, many years ago). My husband actually did the repair, but I could tell him about the steps in the video. The screwdriver was really the only tool needed, but we used needlenose pliars to help get the wire "plugs" detached. Very easy repair. After calling 2 local repair shops and the appliance store, I was told it would take 10 business days for the part to come in. I found your site on the first try on the internet. I ordered the part and although shipping said it could take 5+ days, it was on my door step the next afternoon. Shut off the curcuit breaker, installed the element in 2 minutes.
