How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6024122 / WPY04000066 Oven Bake Element Kit

Replaced element, very easy, less than 10 minutes 

Two screws pull out and disconnect two wires and reconnect and tighten two screws,Ten minutes done. 

Ordered part from your business, a Friend installed part................Oven works great. Glad I know about your business (from same Friend who installed part), so I might be able to keep my very old oven (about 30yrs old) working properly. Thank You, Barbara Morgan 

Replaced the elements with new ones ordered through Appliance Parts Pros. I wanted to tell you how pleased I am that I ordered the baking and broiler elements for my Maytag oven from you. To see if it was a board issue vs. element, I pulled the element out 2 inches from the frame to see if I had power. A volt meter and clip leads showed 240 volts AC at the element (that would not heat up!) told me that the element was bad. Got online, found the part and paid the nice man.. 2 days later and 10 minutes to install, Thanksgiving is back on track! Very happy with the part and the service!! 

Replacement part 

Took out two screws, unhooked leads from broken element and used clothespins to keep them from falling out of sight, hooked leads to new element and used the two screws to fasten it in place. Tested. Instant success. Had to use flat tip screwdriver to loosen the leads so I could remove them. I'm 78 and my grip is not what it used to be. Still was an easy fix. 

The Oven Bake Element Kit was replaced with a new one and it worked great. 

Removed suspected element. Checked for continuity. None. 

Noticed a glow in the oven, heating element was spewing sparks at different areas of the element
