How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007223 / WP2313637 Cutter Grid Assembly (Clear Ice Machine)

Replaced complete Grid Cutter Assembly 

Replaced part after viewing youtube on topic. 

Replace entire grid assembly 

Talked to tech guys and pinned down broken wire as problem Ordered new cutter assembly and assembled myself Great help pinning down the probleml 

I looked up online how to remove the Grid Cutter Assembly. It stated that if it still makes a sheet of ice, then the broken assembly is the problem. I removed the Grid Cutter Assembly and verified that the machine was still working, which it was. I ordered a new Grid Cutter Assembly and it arrived in just a couple of days. I slid the new part in, re-attached the connectors, and the machine started making ice again. Thanks Appliancepartspros.com !

I have had this type icemaker since about 1983, and have replaced one of these before and felt certain I could do it again. I ordered this part to replace my broken cutting grid. It was easily diagnosed because I could see the wires were loose. I ordered the part through this site with standard shipping. The part was delivered in just a couple of days and was the exact part I ordered!!!! The project was easy and after a few minutes the new part was in and my ice maker back to normal. First, I ordered replacement wire; couldn't wrap it tight enough to get the ice cut cleanly. ordered the entire grid-cutter assembly. Two screws and unplug two wires and it's done. Took about 5-10 minutes. Very easy to do. 

I took the cover off and realized the cutter grid wire was broken in one place. I ordered a new cutter grid and it took me 2 minutes to install. Back in business! This was a piece of cake! 

Was very easy to remove the old part and insert the new one
