Robert M Clarksville , OH July 13, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer GHW9300PW2 Person leaned on open front load washer door & broke hinge & messed up latch when trying to shut the door Bought a new latch & replaced without a problem. Also bought a new hinge for the door. Instructions were good on how to change it out. Ran into problem trying to remove fasteners corroded with several years of soap & softener spilled down on it. Had to drill & cut out fasteners which made the job frustrating. Stainless steel fasteners in this area would have been a great idea. Read More... Steven B San Antonio , TX May 31, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer - Direct Drive GHW9100LW1 Hinge on my front load washer was worn out and made it hard to close the door before every wash Order this new hinge and watched the video on how to replace it. It actually took me about 15 min to remove the door from the washer and take it apart and replace the old hinge with the new one. My washer is about 11 years old and surprizingly enough I had now problems removing the old screws and reusing them. They had not rusted up and were fine. I used a small flat head screw driver and my Dewalt battery drill with a Torq T-10 bit. (Maybe it was a T-15, I don't remember). Works fine now Thanks for the video.
