How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030643 / W10884390 Icemaker

After looking at YouTube videos to identify the problem, I decided to change the ice maker. I removed the broken one and replaced it with the new one, and the freezer started making ice again. Just make sure that the auto shut off arm is properly installed in the slots otherwise you will not get any ice and you might think the issue lies somewhere else, when it’s right in front of you. 

Called Appliance parts pro and customer service was excellent in helping obtain correct replacement part. Part delivered way faster than I expected. 

Replaced icemaker 

I ordered the ice maker from appliance parts pro the delivery was fast and it was the right part . I install it watching a u tube video and I'm happy to say it within a few hours the ice maker was making plenty of ice. It's a satisfaction to do a job like that with no experience and it came out perfect. Thanks appliance parts pro. 

I installed a new icemaker purchased from Appliance Pros. 

Ordered a replacement Ice Maker and installed it - worked as promised - and a fairly simple install. 

Replaced with a Whirlpool certified ice maker. 

Ordered the exact replacement for my model. Install was easy even with no instructions and it is making ice like brand new! So far so good. 

Replaced the icemaker. 

Put a new icemaker in.
