How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030643 / W10884390 Icemaker

Replaced ice maker 

Used Youtube for instructions and fixed it in less that 3o mins. It started making ice quick. The hardest part was getting the old racks out of a bottom freezer compartment! 

Replaced ice maker assembly 

I replaced the entire icemaker. 

Replaced ice maker. Youtube was helpful for removing drawers and replacing the icemaker. 

Found the model number, searched on the site and found the piece. I’ve saved the website and plan to use it again. Great site 

Researched the issue online and found the most likely issue was the ice maker having holes or leaking. I have use AppliancePartsPRO in the past and been very satisfied with the parts and service. I ordered a new ICE maker for my Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer at what I felt was a good price. it showed up the next day at the door. I had researched the steps necessary to remove the door and freezer trays to provide access so the entire process was not bad at all took me maybe an hour. I am sure this saved me a few hundred dollars doing it myself. 

Ordered a new ice maker from Appliance Parts and installed it my self 

Replaced ice maker from Appliance Parts Pro. That was the easy part. Getting the shelves out of the lower freezer was a bear! It only took me 15 minutes to replace the ice maker. The rest of the time was getting the freezer shelves out and cleaning the coils with the great brush I bought also.
