How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015682 / WPW10140917 Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly

Ordered a new inlet valve and replaced it. 

Hi, I'm was having trouble with my machine , Water continued to run into the machine, when it had finished washing the clothes. I went on line and found your U-Tube video. It was so helpful. My husband was very doubtful that I could repair the machine, But it literally only took me 5-10 minutes to fix the machine. You video was very helpful. My husband was really surprised. With the help of the pros, was able to follow the video with ease. Pulled the power cord from the wall socket, turn off the water and by taking out two screws and two little bolts from the back of timer cover and disconnected the lid switch. Open up the lid tilted the outer shell about 45 degrees and the shell came right off. Pulled the Ivvb Assembly off and replaced with new Ivvb assembly. Put every thing back together the same way I disassembly it. 

Installed this water inlet valve.

I had tried cleaning inlet screens, but little success, checked online about the problem and found that the inlet valve was probably corroded or plugged, shopped online, liked the offering from Appliance Parts Pros.com and ordered. Part arrived in a day, and after work on a weekday evening, my wife and I changed the part out in about fifteen minutes including gathering and stowing tools. Fills just like a new machine. 

Replaced water unit at half the cost of sears and it works great now. The delivery of part was very fast and had washing machine back running in days. Glad I found your site online. The pictures help pick the right part.
