How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008072 / WP3355806 Lid Switch Kit

I found out it was the lid switch that was broken. The seal broke and the switch came lose. I ordered the new part and replaced the broken one. I had a hard time trying to access the broken switch at first, but I saw one of the videos on this site and was able to pop open the big cover on top to access the switch. Everything works great now. By far this site has the lowest price and part was delivered fast! Awesome job guys! I will definitely order from here again. Thanks! 

After troubleshooting I found out it could be a couple of things. I started with the lid switch. Once ordered and installed it worked. It only worked for 2 washes and I called the Appliance Parts Pros and with out any problems the replacement part was sent. It has worked ever since. What a great resource.
