How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013694 / WP9704230 Blender Drive Coupler

Removed the old using a flathead screwdriver while turning and lifting up with he screwdriver it piped off. I removed the old and cleaned off all. I then added the new and screwed it on, places the blender on top and turned it on and it tightened the new coupler snug. Very simple to do. 

Ordered the proper blender drive from you and put it on. 

Found AppliancePartsPros.com had a solution, parts diagram, video how to and the part. Easy repair. Timely shipping. The blender was over 17 years old it's like brand new. Great service. 

Needed a wrench to hold the motor shaft and unscrew the old coupler. Modified an old thin wrench to do the job. New coupler goes on easy by hand only need hand tight since the motor turns in the same direction of tightening. Part fit perfectly. 

Same as I did four years ago; pried off old coupler with screwdriver and replaced with new coupler. Also ordered extra coupler for future use. 

Purchased a replacement coupler and repaired the blender. 

Ordered a replacement coupler, watched a YouTube video on how to remove the old coupler and viola - blender was operational and drinks were flowing. These couplers are made of a type of rubber that is affected by ozone so after a few years they will fail but replacement is a 5 minute job. 

My 87 year old husband took off the old Drive Coupler sigh a hammer and screw driver, as suggested by AppliancePartsPros, and had it fixed in not time flat. 

Use a hammer and screwdriver to tap coupler in clockwise direction. New coupler simply screwed on in COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction. 

By following the video instructions from Appliance Parts Pros, I was able to repair the blender. I am not exactly the most mechanically gifted individual, but with the helpful guidance, it all worked out very well. For $16, an $8 part plus $8 in shipping, I was able to save my blender. Replacing it would have cost well over $100. Now that is savings! Thanks!
