How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013694 / WP9704230 Blender Drive Coupler

I followed the instructions sent with the replacement part. I also watched the instructional video prior to ordering the part. The repair went as described. 

I checked on YouTube for a tutorial about replacing the driver coupler on my blender. I ordered the part and followed the directions. 

Followed the instructions in both the online video and enclosed with the replacement part. QUick, easy and simple. 

Replaced the blender drive rubber cog with the GREAT help from AppliancePartsPros.com!!! 

Put a new drive coupler on the base which contacts and spins the blades 

Before attempting to repair the blender I pulled up a YouTube video that was linked to the Appliance Parts Pros website. What a time saver!! I was envisioning taking the base apart to get to the impeller and going through a drawn out procedure. Not So !! With a screwdriver and hammer, a simple tap to the damaged drive gear and it was loose. The replacement part was then easily screwed back on. 

Directions provided were good. 

After going to your website, I learned that a new part can be ordered and that it was a simple fix. I ordered the part and received it in about 4 days. I followed the simple instructions and had our blender as good as new. 

Replace worn part with new one 

Followed the simple instructions included with the part. I would not have known the old part was threaded at all, much less that it was reverse threaded, if not for the information on AppliancePartsPros.com. What I thought was going to be a $250 expense for a new blender was just $11 and 10 minutes of my time. I am very happy.
