How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3095829 / 326791 Oven Bake Element

I ordered the bake unit from appliancepartspro.com; while ordering, I decided to go ahead and replace the oven broiler burner as well. Appliancepartspros.com's videos helped me replace the parts with ease. It took barely 30 minutes to install both. Plus, very fast shipping and correct parts. Now, I do not have to worry about baking during Thanksgiving! Cheers, Sean 

I didn't. The part came in when I was at work and my wife replaced the defective part. The oven now works. 

I looked up the model number for our old Whirlpool oven on this site, found identical looking appliance with a different model #, and ordered the part based on the parts diagram. I turned off the breaker, unscrewed the old baking element, gently pulled wires out of the wall a few inches and then pulled them off of element, attached the new element and screwed it in. Voila... it worked! 

Replaced oven bake element 

I was able to find the part I needed by searching the oven's model number which was just inside the door engraved in a piece of metal. I had to unscrew to oven from the cabinet - four screws on the edges of the oven. I had to pull the oven out of the cabinet. I removed the rear panel of the oven to expose the wiring for the element - 12-16 screws (cant remember exactly). I slipped the wires off of the old element - no tools. I removed the screws on the old element - two screws inside the oven. I took the old element out being careful not to compress or tear the insulation on the back of the oven. I put the new element in where the old elemnt was, and put everything back together. 

Lost the clip on wire, but, managed to retrieve with a bent paper clip. After that, everything went fine. 

Bought new element and put it in in 5minutes 

Determined the element was bad by a conduction test with a volt meter got the model number and ordered the part got the part 3 days later and installed it, works great
