How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023629 / WPW10655368 Drip Pan

Replaced pan 

Replaced drip pan with a new one from appliance parts pros. 

I ordered the tray and watched the easy to follow video. The part came quickly and I had no issues with replacing the tray. 

Ordered new drain pan and the redesigned P trap drain tube. The most difficult part is removing the condenser fan shroud. However, with a little wiggling and patience it eventually comes out. Once the fan was out, replacing the pan and drain tube took about 5 minutes at the most. The repair ended up being much easier than I thought it would be. 

Replaced drip pan and the new version drain p-trap. The only issue I had was how to remove the fan that sets inside. The old drip pan...little difficult but made it with patience 

Replaced it. 

Removed the back plate, then unplugged fan and removed. Then removed the defrost drip chute. Then finally removed the drip pan. Simply inserted new drip pan and reassembled everything. 

Removed fan and replaced pan 

My handyman replaced it.
