How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5985108 / W10811151 Control Panel

Replaced the control panel and now the dishwasher works great. 

Replaced the control panel 

First verified that there was nothing under to water level float switch. Then, having past experience with the same problem, in another of the same dishwashers. I was quite sure it was this control panel. Purchased the same item (different color), from Appliance Parts Pros.com, Removed the old panel, and wiring connectors, installed the new panel, and that was it. Seems a little strange though, that there have been relatively few of these panels listed as having been purchased compared to other parts, I have two dish washers with exactly the same problem. Coincidence?? 

I replaced the touch pad and the main controller as long as I was there. 

Replaced control panel 

First: purchased electric control & fixed w/ guide by Vedic demonstrating. It was easy to replace. Then still did not work start resume buttons, so I called custome service Whom Joey diagnoses it that I need to replace the control panel. I purchased it. it came within three days . Since I learned how to replaced the electric control, it was easy to replaced. Thank to Joey & It worked beautifully. Thank you to Appliance parts pros department (DIY). Bk 

Replaced control panel. Appears to be a common problem with these dishwashers. 

Turned off power, removed front panel and latch. Replaced cover panel/control panel. That's it! Thank goodness for AppliancePartsPros, would not want to pay a repairman from Maytag to fix their defective product. (We already had this replaced once under warranty) 

Ordered new control panel,had it the next day,15 minute fix. 

Read the online questions and replies associated with my appliance. Ran troubleshooting steps and was able to determine from the problems describe ones that matched what I was observing. Ordered the recommended part and it was there the next day. Less then 10 minutes later installed the new part and my dishwasher was working again. Super service!!!!! Poor design!
