I very quickly found that the water pump was making a lot of noise. I looked here on Appliancepartspros.com of of course found a very helpful video. Michael R Harrison , OH March 11, 2016 Intermittent grinding / rubbing sound only noticeable on spin cycle I lifted up top of washer and removed front cover from washer. Listening to the washer run in various cycles unloaded it seemed like the sound was coming from the pump. The pump still worked fine in pumping water. I removed the washer belt underneath the unit and then spun the pump pulley by hand. It seemed to make and intermittent sound when I turned it. I called and ordered the pump from appliance parts pros.com. It is easy to install. Took around 40 minutes to remove and then reinstall new pump. Sounds and works like new again. Read More...
