How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008659 / WP35-6465 Drain Pump Assembly

I removed the old one and replaced it with the new one The best part about this you can go to the web site and pull up the video to show you how to replace the part This is great. 

Order the new parts and put them in had watched your video to make sure i got the right pump the parts came very quickly, the same day i received them i had them in and the washer working it took all of maybe 30 minutes 

Bought the replacement drain pump assembly and replaced it. I also bought a new belt and drain pump hose for preventive maintenance. 

Internet diagnosis. The actual replacement of the pump took less than 10 minutes. I went ahead and cleaned everything I could reach and touch under the washer tub and base while there. 

Tipped the washer back (45 degrees) and removed the belt connecting the motor, drum and water pump assembly. Then I removed 4 screws from access panel on rear of washing machine (where drain hose enters the machine). Once the panel was off I had easy access to the drain pump assembly (it's right behind the panel that was removed). Removal of the drain pump assembly was a snap.. just needed use channel lock pliers to release the clamps which allowed me to remove the water lines to and from the pump. Then I removed the 3 easy to access screws that attached the water pump assembly to the bottom of the machine. Reversed the steps to install the new pump. Total repair time was under 15 minutes start to finish! 

Just want to tell you that we ordered the part atr 4 p.m. on monday and we had the part here by 3p.m. on tuesday, I installed thep and it too about 15 minutes and it was repaired ready to work again. was very satisfied with the speed it arrived in and the total cost of parts. will ssurely order from them again. 

Pump bearing was bad. I replaced the pump and also replaced the drive belt which was worn. 

Ordered the parts and watch the repair video and got the job done. 

Found Appliance parts pro online..called, ordered parts and they arrived in 4 days, and with just standard shipping..great service. Pulled old part off..really fairly easy to do. Replaced with new..(water pump for washing machine) plugged in power an presto..back to perfect working condition. Thanks Appliance Parts Pro 

First I opened the top of the washer and everything was completely dry. Next I opened the back and still no water. Then I ran the machine threw a short cycle and when it started to drain the tub, water started to come out the bottom. When I tipped up the machine I could see where the water was coming out of the shaft of the drain pump. I went on-line to AppliancePartsPROS and ordered anew pump and it was delivered 2 days later. 10 Minuets later everything was back together and running.
