How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008659 / WP35-6465 Drain Pump Assembly

This was quick and simple replacement of a part. After removing the belt from the three pulleys it was very easy to determine what the issue was. The squeaky pulley received all my attention. Just make sure you have a bunch of old rags/towels under the pump when removing. It will spit out the residual water that remained in its belly. 2 hose clamps and 3 bolts later the remove and replace operation was complete in less than 30 min. I also replaces the drive belt as preventive maintenance (16 yrs old and showing signs of impending failure). 

I noticed that the belt was slippery due to a water leak from the pump. I decided to replace the water pump and the belt. The result: is working like a new washing machine. I've repair this washing machine four times in 25 years and it is still going. My wife likes to boast that her appliances last a very long time because she takes good care of them. I have to constantly remind her that I'm the one fixing them every time they break. Lol, 

I bought a new drain-pump from you. When it came, I undid two hose-clamps and three sheet-metal screws and shook off the V-belt. I laid the new pump in place, turned the three screws and replaced the two hose clamps. I tipped the machine on one side and worried the V-belt into place. I put the front panel back on, plugged the power cord in and started washing clothes.

First tried to find out problem, noticed Water pump not turning easily with hand. Once problem detected, I checked water pump part number and checked on your website and it is there, I ordered and next day delivered on my door. Its took 10 minutes, Just unplug water inlet and ejection pipes out, removed three nuts and faulty pump replaced with new pump. My belt was in good condition but I replaced with new belt. I set my Atlantis washer with extra large load and with extra rinse and turned on and works like new. I am very happy with my work and with my washer and with ApplaicepartsPros. 

Followed how to instructions .only problem idler pulley would not move at first it came with a little help. 

I very quickly found that the water pump was making a lot of noise. I looked here on Appliancepartspros.com of of course found a very helpful video. I ordered my parts and was very happy they were priced so cheaply. I got them yesterday and was able to fix my washer within a hour for less than the cost of a service call. 

We ordered the part from you, watched a video. The part came in a few days and I was washing clothes again that day. Thank you for your help and fast service.
