How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006664 / WP2217220 Ice Maker Recirculation Pump Assembly

Found a replacement part with AppliancePartPros and oredred same. The part was delivered within 3 business days. Taking the old pump out and putting the new pump in took less than 30 minutes. Started the ice maker up and it filled the ice bin within 24 hours. THANKS GUYS! 

I ordered a new circulation pump from appliance pros and replaced it and now it is working fine. just a note to others with this problem if you would run the cleaning cycle using the cleaner regularly which i didnt i probably would not have had this problem. it only took a couple of days to get the pump and took about 30 minutes to replace 

Hired a repairman 

Using the model number, I was able to find the circulation pump on this site. Getting the old one out took about an hour. Inside, it was clearly frozen and the motor had burned out. The new part was an exact match - that was good. Took about another 2 hours to get everything back together, but it works! new pump saved a $2,300 ice maker! 

First found that the cutter assembly had failed - had to replace it; ordered one from this site and easily changed it out. Then, diagnosed that the recirculation pump had failed as well. Ordered the parts and with some difficulty (mounting screws in tight spaces) replaced it and installed new tubing. Cleaned all surfaces and now back in business. Making beautiful square cubes again. 

Replaced recirculating pump and water valve. 

Ordered new pump and motor assembly, it took about 30 minutes to change it out.
