How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4135008 / D7824706Q Ice Maker

Replaced the ice maker. It was so easy I can kick myself for not doing it sooner! 

Replaced ice maker. Apparently this is a common problem and needs to be done every so many years due to degrading materials. The Ice maker was easy to replace, and reuse the cover, harness and yoke from the original. 3 screws, swap parts, reattach, done! Super easy.

Replaced ice maker with a new one. 

Ordered new ice maker module and replaced existing one on refrigerator with new ice maker module. Perfect fit, worked like a charm. Saved thousands of dollars on a new refrigerator. 

Initially, jumpered (T+H on the unit turns/activates the wheel) the ice maker on two occasions to get it to work. This "reset" only lasted two or three days. Concluded a new unit was needed and replaced it. An instructional video using the exact same make/model of the refrigerator was present. 

We replaced the Icemaker and the inlet water valve. 

I installed a new ice maker and the problem was solved. 

Replaced the ice maker with a part from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Installed new ice maker and handle.
