How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4009656 / 12002773 Spring Kit (6 Springs)

Replaced snubber ring, and spring kit. The parts fit like a glove and repair videos where very helpful for the job. 

Replace snubber and springs 

I replaced the drum springs, motor spring and belt. Problem solved. Drum springs are interesting to replace but I did all 6 springs from the front. 

Replaced the springs. 

I found a DIY video about changing 6 suspension springs on the tub base. It looked to be quick and simple. Just my kind of repair. I found Appliance Parts Pros.com. It was super easy to place the order. I had a hard time believing the average shipping time was 1.7 days, but I got my springs the very next day!!! It took about an hour to take off the old ones and put on the new ones. I have saved Appliance Parts Pro.com as a favorite on my laptop for future needs. I could not be happier with the entire process. 

I replaced the drive belt, the snubber ring, which I had purchased from a different online appliance source that could not complete the original order due to a (Whirlpool part warehouse, I imagine) database error for the part number for a single spring and the kit of six springs being exactly the same. Remember this should you order this particular item. The folks at AppliancePartsPros sent me a single spring at first, and after a bit of customer support phone conversing, they agreed to investigate, and credit me back for the original shipping fee. Now, THAT is customer service. The spring kit arrived yesterday, and I had successfully completed the repair in about 1-2 hours last evening. I tested the washer with my carhartt overalls and hooded jacket, both heavy, stiff, and bulky. Noise problem solved! I will definitely be using APP for all of my future appliance parts needs.
