I replaced the drive belt, the snubber ring, which I had purchased from a different online appliance source that could not complete the original order due to a (Whirlpool part warehouse, I imagine) database error for the part number for a single spring and the kit of six springs being exactly the same. Remember this should you order this particular item.
The folks at AppliancePartsPros sent me a single spring at first, and after a bit of customer support phone conversing, they agreed to investigate, and credit me back for the original shipping fee. Now, THAT is customer service. The spring kit arrived yesterday, and I had successfully completed the repair in about 1-2 hours last evening. I tested the washer with
my carhartt overalls and hooded jacket, both heavy, stiff, and bulky. Noise problem solved!
I will definitely be using APP for all of my future appliance parts needs.
