How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007577 / WP308126 Spring

Ordered two new springs and clips. Pulled out the bottom drawer and replaced the old spring and the one that had broken. This only took about ten or fifteen minutes and was very easy. Now the door works as it should. 

I went online looking for parts. Came upon AppliancePartsPros.com's website. Got a price on the springs, which btw were kess expensive than a few other shops I visited. The parts came in less than a week and were very easy to replace. Now my oven door is good as new! 

Replaced it with a new spring from Appliancepartspros.com. 

I removed the drawer under the oven which exposed identical springs on each side under the closed oven door. Of course, one was broken. I removed the broken spring and installed the new one. It was a very easy fix. 

Fix was simple! 

I decided to replace both springs while I was at it. Removing four screws allowed be to pull the oven out of the cabinet. I rested it on a B&D Workmate, which was just the right height. It took me some time to realize there was only a spring tension-adjuster for the left side of the oven. Other than that, this is a 10 minute job. 

Went on line to AppliancePartsPros.com, put in the oven model number and easily found the Anchor and Spring that I needed. Read the repair description which included the degree of difficulty it would take to fix. Ordered the parts, which arrived by mail the NEXT DAY! My husband did the repair and my oven was back in business. This is the second time I have used this website, and I can not say enough good things about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you.REF 

I ordered parts from Appliance Parts Pros (standard shipping), they arrived in about four days. I watched the very helpful instructional video. The repair took about the same time that APP said it would and I was even able to teach my wife how it was done (so next time she gets to repair it). Basically we cut the old receptacles out and rewired the new ones with the supplied parts, wire nuts and heat-shrink tubing included. The broken burners now work perfectly. The more difficult job was replacing the burner clips, but only because the originals were riveted in and needed to be drilled out using a rather precarious angle of approach for my cordless drill. Overall it was pretty simple and all the repairs took about two hours, 

Replaced springs, easy fix 

After 2 months I went looking for the parts for my oven , and found them at Appliancepartspros. What a relief, vs buying a new oven, saved me, close to a thousand dollars. I called a friend, with his help, we changed the spring, in less tha 10 minutes. I'm a hero in my house, thanks to you guys.
