How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5787784 / W10613606 Compressor Start Relay

I ordered the compressor start device from Appliance Parts Pros. After watching the repair video the install was completed in about 15 minutes. Old fridge is cooling like a new one now. 

Used troubleshooting guide. Heard clicking from compressor area. Sent for part. Took back pane off. Located part on side of compressor. Replaced it. Very easy. It has been over 2 weeks, working well. 

Submitted problem to appliancepartstros.com and a solution was received. Watch video on this web site on how to uninstall bad part and install new part. Ordered part and installed it. All sides cooling. Problem fixed. Neighbors think I am an appliance repairman. Thanks. 

I removed the defective module from the compressor and measured the resistance on the coils. Just to make sure the compressor was not bad. Checked out OK. I heard that Maytag had some bad compressors from Brazil ( indian head stamp ) For a quick fix I ordered the Start-Dev. Seems to be working fine now.....cooling. I ordered the parts on Friday. They were at my front door on Saturday. 

I bought this part after much trepidation, wondering if my 11-year-old 2k dollar refrigerator was on the fritz and a new one was in order. I can safely say now with the installation video on your website and in less than 2 minutes of installation time. The unit is ice cold again. I am so happy. Thank you again. 

Used parts pros troubleshooting section and ordered start contact and cap for condenser. 

Changed out starting relay and capacitor.

It took only a few minutes to find the repair video at https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-start-dev-w10613606-ap5787784.html, which mentioned the clicking sound, so I ordered the Compressor Start Device, received it in 2 days, and just like in the video, I replaced the part in 15 minutes. Problem solved!
